OUTPOST Steering Committee
Expression of Interest
OUTPOST are looking for expressions of interest from individuals wishing to join the Steering Committee.
The Steering Committee is comprised of a number of different positions, these include specific roles which must be in place in order for Norwich OUTPOST to function effectively as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO); these being Chair, Secretary, and Treasurer, as well as roles which must be in place for the CIO to function as an organisation, such as Studio Manager and Media / Design. Other additional responsibilities can be delegated to or shared between committee members, depending upon the number of committee members and shadows. All Steering Committee members are responsible for programming. Steering Committee members take it in turns to operate as ‘Point of Contact’ for solo and members’ exhibitions and events.
Individuals may be asked to shadow for a period of 3-6 months; successful individuals will then be invited to join as a member of the Steering Committee. While on the Steering Committee members will be entitled to a Research and Development Fund to visit exhibitions, lectures, and workshops to extend their knowledge and to develop the future of OUTPOST programming. This is a budget of £1,640 per year split evenly between all active members of the Steering Committee.
During the current funding period (2019-22), there is a budget to provide paid administration and gallery technician for self-employed work that can be provided by Steering Committee members at £9 per hour. This budget is £1,575 per year for Gallery Technician work and £5,355 for Committee Administration; to be split for between Steering Committee members in agreement of the Chair and Trustees.
