The result of a month long residency, Swallowing Spittle takes as a starting point how economic policy-making and austerity cuts come to affect the most intimate and private spheres of an individual, leading at times to extreme consequences. The is approached/understood as a form of “sculpting process”, which is then articulated through the presented works. The extensive research and the realisation of the project is conceived as a form of collaboration, constructed through the encounter with number of institutions/charities and private individuals based in Norwich an the surrounding area.
