In cartoons we take the graphic line to be a short-hand for certain psychological states. The distinction between the experience we have of the outward body and inward body can be exploded or exposed through cartoons. In this edition Bygrave has explored this connection between the cartoon line and heightened psychological depictions of figures by using a range of mark-making from slow-paced drawing with traditional cutting tools to a more experimental approach.
